If you look deeply into the palm of your hand, you will see your parents and all generations of your ancestors. All of them are alive in this moment. Each is present in your body. You are the continuation of each of these people.

Thich Nhat Hanh

“Let people stop boasting about their ancestors. One is only a pious believer or a miserable sinner. All men are sons of Adam, and Adam came from dust .”

– The Prophet Muhammad

“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.

 Bible,  Exodus 20:12

Dead people are extremely sensitive to the discourses that people do about them, as well as to the thoughts and feelings that people experience for them. Yes, because the words, as well as feelings and thoughts produce vibrations and emit waves that go to touch the souls of disembodied beings.

So , let the dead ones depart quietly into those places where they should go .Your parents , your friends , do not cling to them, do not hold them with your pain and your suffering , and above all, do not try to call them to communicate with them :you will disturb them and you will obstacle them in their way of freedom .Pray for them , send them your love , think that they are freed and that they will always rise more in the light. If you truly love them . You know that you will be with them one day . This is the truth. How many times have I already said :where is your love, there one day you too will be .

  Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov

“The dead ones are invisible beings but not absent. We do not see them because we are wrapped in a dark cloud, while they are in the Light and see us. Their eyes, full of joy, are fixed on ours, full of tears. There are near us , happy, transfigured. ”

Saint Augustine

My quotes , reccomandations and tips:

Genealogy is not a list of names: genealogy is a path of awareness .

A good genealogical work is not measured by the amount of names in the tree, but from the good attitude of the researcher and of the descendant.

Never speak ill of death people, never blame your ancestors!  if you do it, you will cut the line of protection and  heavenly nourishment that you have with them. You will feel then very alone and sad. Instead, cultivate the gratefulness, the respect and a tender compassion for them, even if they made some mistakes!  You will have many angels in heaven, ready to support you, to protect you and to inoculate many smiles in your life.

When you build up a good family trees, you might realize that you have so many relatives that considering all people like your brothers and your sisters is more than an poetic utopia: it is just the reality.

When searching for ancestors, keep you mind clear of any greed, anger or other poor thoughts: be ready to enter a garden full of different flowers: mantain a light stride, a grateful mind and a slight smile in your face.

Search for your ancestors with the best attitude. Then, at least once in your life, visit their village: walk on their streets, breath in the air they breath, meet their descendants’ faces: you will feel one with the Whole, part of the Universe and a beautiful feeling of peace and reconciliation will fulfill your heart.

Don’t be eager to find your relatives just because they have the same surnames of your: if you go to your ancestors’ village, most of people you will see in the street or at the bar are your relatives. Just enjoy the people that naturally will  come to you.

When you go to visit your ancestors village, bring something to donate to that place. Even a little donation to the church, or to a volunteers’ associations will mean a lot for them and for you.

I suggest you to prepare a little room in your house, where you can honour your ancestors: the family tree chart, some pictures, some objects: a little temple, simple and well cared. Everytime you walk  in front of it, you can bow and saying few words for thanking and honoring them.
