Each research project is unique and different from the others, so I do not publish fixed packages. Here is how an estimate is made.
What an estimate depends on

What you want to discover — one record, one line, or a whole family.
Initial information
How much is already known: names, places, dates, existing documents.
Circumstances
Distances to archives and towns, urgency, and other practical conditions.
How the work is charged
I work on an hourly fee, plus expenses. For some research projects, a “no results – no fee” option is possible.

Prices
When you pay
After we agree on a plan and estimate, I ask for a retainer (deposit) and begin the research. Before sending the results, I ask for the balance.
